Effective noise management is essential for ensuring events run smoothly while complying with regulations and minimising disruption to local communities. At A Higher Sound, we provide comprehensive noise management solutions tailored to festivals, concerts, dance events, and private functions. With extensive experience in writing noise management plans, conducting environmental noise impact assessments, and using advanced prediction software, we help event organisers navigate complex noise regulations with confidence.
We have years of experience in developing noise management plans for events of all sizes, from small local gatherings to large-scale festivals. Our plans are designed to meet licensing requirements and address all aspects of noise control, including sound propagation, mitigation strategies, monitoring protocols, and communication plans with local authorities and residents. Our detailed plans help ensure compliance with environmental health guidelines and event licensing conditions, reducing the risk of complaints or enforcement action.
Using industry-standard noise prediction software, we can accurately model and predict how sound will travel from an event site, allowing for preemptive noise control measures. This is particularly valuable for planning outdoor festivals and concerts, where sound levels can impact residential areas. By analyzing factors such as topography, wind direction, and temperature inversion, we create data-driven strategies to optimise speaker placement and minimize off-site noise impact without compromising sound quality for the audience.
If you require planning permission, our team is experienced in preparing professional noise impact assessments to support applications. These reports include background noise surveys, predicted event noise levels, and mitigation recommendations to demonstrate how noise will be managed responsibly. Whether it's a new development, a permanent venue, or an expansion of an existing site, we work closely with planners, environmental health officers, and local authorities to ensure a smooth approval process.
To maintain compliance with noise limits and respond proactively to any concerns, we provide real-time noise monitoring both on-site and off-site during events. Our team conducts independent off-site measurements at key receptor locations to ensure that noise levels remain within permitted thresholds. On-site, we set up sound level meters to provide continuous monitoring, allowing sound engineers and event organizers to adjust levels as needed. Our approach ensures that noise is managed dynamically throughout the event, minimising the risk of complaints and regulatory breaches.
We use high-precision sound level meters and environmental noise monitoring systems to provide accurate, real-time data on noise levels. Our equipment includes:
Proven Experience – Years of expertise in writing noise management plans, conducting impact assessments, and liaising with regulatory authorities.
Advanced Technology – We utilise state-of-the-art noise prediction and monitoring equipment to ensure precise and effective noise control.
Proactive Solutions – Rather than waiting for complaints, we use real-time data monitoring to make proactive adjustments.
Event-Friendly Approach – We help organisers balance sound quality and compliance, ensuring an optimal experience for attendees while minimising noise impact on the surrounding area.
